TEAM THE PAKISTANI
The team Pakistani is a diverse batch of young scholars who aim to instill a better understanding of their country, culture and history. The members of team Pakistani are mostly A level or Undergraduate students.
Dr. Maria SultanPatron
Dr. Maria Sultan is the Chairperson & President of the South Asian Strategic Stability Institute (SASSI) University. She is an advisor to the Ministry of Defence on Strategic & Military affairs. She is also the founding Vice Chancellor for Muslim Youth University & established programs in Electrical Engineering, Computer Sciences, Management Sciences, Social Sciences including International Relations & Peace & Conflict Studies .She was the founding co-director of the South Asian Strategic Stability Unit at the Bradford Disarmament Research Centre (BDRC), University of Bradford. She also served as Deputy Director South Asian Strategic Stability Unit at (BDRC). DR Sultan is a specialist in South Asian nuclear arms control & disarmament issues, weapon systems development & strategic stability.
Brig. (R) Mehboob QadirPatron
Brigadier (Retd.) Mehboob Qadir is a Director Research at SASSI University. He is a graduate of the Naval Post Graduate School, California USA & holds an M.Sc in Defence & Strategic Studies. He has served in the military for more than three decades & has served in the staff of three Army Chief & one President of Pakistan. He remained as Deputy Director General Analysis at the Inter Services Intelligence for sixteen years. He has extensively worked with various United Nations bodies & is a specialist of Middle East & North Africa Region.
Syed Anwar HabibPatron
Mr. Muhammad Anwar Habib (Hilal- I- Imtiaz), is the former Chairman of Pakistan Nuclear Regulatory Authority (PNRA 2009-2017). He is currently Professor Emiterius & Director for Nuclear Power at the South Asian Strategic Stability Institute (SASSI). He is a member of the advisor committee of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) for nuclear security. He is also an advisor at the international Atomic Energy Agency for Nuclear Safety & Security. His current work is focused on innovations in science & technology & its effects on nuclear power. His expertise is in licensing of nuclear power, research reactors, radiation facilities & management of radio isotopes. His interests are instrumentation & controls of nuclear facilities, with a wide range of his experience focused on the field of nuclear regulatory licensing procedures, policies & strategic outlook.
Sardar Mahdi Khan MalkaniHead of Public Relations
Sardar Mahdi Khan Malkani is a Research Officer at the South Asian Strategic Stability Institute (SASSI University). His work primarily focuses on Artificial Intelligence and its role in the current World Politics. He also handles The Pakistani's Publications.
Shizza BukhariExecutive Editor
Shizza Bukhari is a research officer at the South Asian Strategic Stability Institute (SASSI University). Her work primarily focuses on hybrid warfare, Pakistan-China Bilateral Relations and Arms Control and Disarmament. She’s currently pursuing a BS Psychology degree from Bahria University Islamabad.

Muhammad Khan Niazi is a Designer at the South Asian Strategic Stability Institute (SASSI University). His work primarily focuses on design, illustrations, logos and websites.
Ambreen Maryam ShafiqueContributor
Ambreen Maryam Shafique is a contributer at the South Asian Strategic Stability Institute (SASSI University). Her area of interests include International Affairs, Socioeconomic Development, Global peace and Stability Initiatives. She is currently completing her A-Levels from Roots Millennium.
Isbah Khan is a contributor to the Pakistani. Her interests lie in Nuclear Policy and Current and National Affairs. She is currently in the final year of her A levels at Roots Millennium Schools Islamabad.
Isra Cheema AS- Roots Millenium I-9 The primary reason i joined The Pakistani was because it gives youngsters a platform to voice their opinions and help them grow as individuals. Keeping that in mind, I am extremely excited for this new chapter and to work with the rest of the team
Alizeh Bukhari is a contributor at The Pakistani. Her work primarily focuses on the Kashmir Issue and International Relations. She is currently pursuing a BS Accounting and Finance degree from Bahria University Islamabad.

Muhammad Yasir Nawaz Khattak is a contributor at the South Asian Strategic Stability Institute (SASSI University). He is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. His work primarily focuses on International Politics, current affairs, and social issues. He aims at projecting a positive image of Pakistan to the world.
Khadeejah Usman works as a contributor at The Pakistani. She is currently doing her Bachelor’s in Leadership and Management Sciences from National Defence University. She aims to use the strategies that she acquired from her degree to raise awareness about the issues that she’s passionate about such as environmental issues and gender equality.
Zainab Mudassar is a contributor at The Pakistani. Her area of interests include Biology, especially Genetics and Therapeutics, and learning about cultures through food and history, thus the interest in the "Pakistaniyat" niche of our magazine. She is currently in her Sophomore year and pursuing a degree in Biological Sciences at LUMS, Lahore.
Amna Faisal is a contributor at The Pakistani. She is currently pursuing her bachelors in Software Engineering from NUST, Islamabad. Her areas of interests include art, physics, nature and she aspires to find why the universe works the way it does at quantum scale.
Aiman Rahim is a contributor at The Pakistani. Her work primarily focuses on social issues, current affairs and the culture and traditions of Pakistan. She is currently enrolled in the MBBS program at Dow Medical College, Karachi. She aims to find out the underlying causes of the issues faced by Pakistanis and use her words to spread awareness.
Bareera is a contributor at The Pakistani. Her areas of interest include human rights, history and intellectual property. She is currently pursuing a Bachelors of Law from Bahria University.
